In Throne: Kingdom at War, troops are the basis of any Lord’s power. Armies defend and attack Towns, Castles, and resource locations. Power points are provided as a reward for training them.
Troop types and tiers
In Throne: Kingdom at War, troops are divided into five types:
- Spearmen
- Cavalry
- Ranged troops
- Knights
- Siege units
Each type is strong against some warriors and weak against others. For example, ranged troops are stronger than knights by 50% and spearmen by 25%. However, they are weaker than cavalry by 50% and siege units by 25%.
There are currently seven troop tiers in Throne. Their tier influences the warriors’ strength, speed, and capacity. The higher the warriors’ tier, the greater their capacity and lower their speed, and vice versa.
Scouts
There are also scouts in the game. They help obtain information about your opponent. In Throne: Kingdom at War, battles involving scouts can only be against other scouts. Scouts don’t fight against the other troop types.
In Throne: Kingdom at War, espionage plays an important role when planning an attack or Raids. Study the weak points of your enemies in order to strike them unexpectedly and with maximum effectiveness!
How to improve troop stats
A strong army is the key to victory. Remember that just training soldiers is not enough to enhance your army. Make use of bonuses that improve the characteristics of various troop types or tiers.
You can do this by:
- Conducting Studies
- Using equipment, jewels, and runes
- Summoning and promoting Cardinals
- Improving Inquisitor’s Doctrines and Hero’s Skills
- Conducting improvements in the Alchemical Laboratory
- Applying Boosts
The lands of Throne: Kingdom at War need talented warlords. Maybe it is your army that will conquer the Kingdoms.
